Terms and Conditions
Tour Price Includes :
HOTELS - 1st Class and Kibbutz Inn in Israel, 1st Class in Egypt, Moderate 1st Class in Jordan and Poland, Top Tourist Class in France, Italy, Guadalupe, England and Ireland, Private Homes in Medjugorje, all in medium-rated rooms. Accommodations are in twin-bedded rooms with private bath throughout, double occupancy. Single occupancy, subject to availability, at supplement indicated.
MEALS - Israeli (Buffet) breakfasts in Israel, Continental Breakfasts in all other countries. Major meals (lunches, dinners) only as specifically mentioned in the Itinerary. Meals in flight as per custom of the airlines used.
TRANSFERS - Between airports and hotels as per Itinerary, including transportation of TWO pieces of luggage per person and porterage (see below).
BAGGAGE - Free allowance on transatlantic flights is two pieces per person, measuring not more than a total of 106" (length plus width plus height), where each piece may measure not more than 62" nor weigh more than 70 lbs., plus a carry-on piece measuring not more than 39". We recommend however that only ONE suitcase per person is brought on the trip.
SIGHTSEEING - By luxury, late model private vehicle, air-conditioned when required by weather conditions, including the services of English-speaking, professional and Government-licensed separate guide and driver and including all admission fees to sites mentioned in the Itinerary. On tours in Rome and in Paris, sightseeing is by standard public motorcoach tours, unless the group is of at least 25 participants, when a ;private motorcoach with driver and guide is used.
OPTIONALS - Not included in Tour Price. When mentioned in the Itinerary, their description and extra cost are given.
TIPS AND GRATUITIES - Not included in the Basic Tour Price. A Tip fund is pre-collected and added to final Invoice.
SERVICE CHARGES AND LOCAL TAXES - Included are all service charges and local taxes normally included in hotel and in restaurant bills (for included meals). When air fare is included, added to the Final Invoice are Taxes, all airport and border taxes and all security and other fees applicable for each Program and Extension according to airline and goivernmental rules.
PLANNING AND OPERATION - Included, as a mark-up by Marian Tours - AVIV TOURS on the Tour component costs.
TRIPLE ROOMS - No discount applies. When an odd number of gentlemen or ladies is present, one triple room will be used, without reduction in price, so as not to demand a single room supplement from an unwilling participant.
DOCUMENTS - Valid Passport is required for each traveler. For U.S. citizens, visas are not required for Israel or European Countries; if they are required for any other countries in the itinerary, the brochure of each Tour will so advise, and will be the responsibility of the participant.
TOUR PRICE - Valid as of the date indicated in the Tour brochure and subject to change without notice in air fares, land rates, or rates of exchange.
FINAL TRAVEL DOCUMENTS - Will be sent to the participants or to the Tour Host/s, after final payment has been received by Marian Tours - AVIV TOURS . Expect them no earlier than 7-10 days prior to departure. They will give final details and general information.
Not Included in Tour Price :
air fares; Passport and visa fees; items of a purely personal nature such as laundry and valet charges; food and beverages not included in the table-d'hote menus of the meals included as per Itinerary; meals and beverages not included as per Itinerary; departure taxes and fees; tip and gratuities to drivers, guides, hotels' staff, porters, restaurant waiters, airport porters, etc.; personal and/or luggage insurance, strongly recommended and available at nominal cost, as well as low-cost insurance against loss of reductions in the Tour Price, in case of your inability (due to accident or sickness) to travel on the dates of the Tour and within the periods specified by airline regulations governing promotional air fares, or against cancellation fee (see below).
PAYMENTS - A deposit, as described in the Registration Coupon, is required in order to obtain confirmed reservations on the Tour. Invoice will be issued reflecting the deposit as a partial payment received, and the balance due. Balance per Invoice must be received at Marian Tours - AVIV TOURS Offices no later than the date indicated in the Invoice.
CANCELLATIONS - Cancellation notices will not be considered unless received at Marian Tours - AVIV TOURS Offices in writing (E-mail accepted as a written statement). No penalty or fee will be levied if written cancellation is received before the date on which final balance was due. Specific cancellation fees charged by Marian Tours - AVIV TOURS will be detailed in each Tour brochure. In all cases, such additional amounts as may be charged by airlines, land operators, hotels, etc., will be added to the cancellation fee. Once the Tour is in progress, no refunds will be considered for less than two days' absence from the Tour, and then only if prior arrangements had been made. Refund of any portion of the Tour costs will be in any case only the net amounts recovered by AVIV TOURS for the unused services, less a fee of US$ 300. Air fare refunds are subject to airline regulations in force at the time of the Tour. In any case, all refunds will be made only after AVIV TOURS actually received the funds from airlines and operators concerned.
No refunds will be due for services not received by the participant due to failure to follow instructions, or to obtain required documents such as Passport or Visa. No compensation from Marian Tours - AVIV TOURS will be due for expenses caused to the participant by airline delays, flight changes or misdelivery or loss of luggage.
RE-BOOKING AFTER CANCELLATION - If a participant has canceled and was assessed cancellation fees of more than US$ 100, and re-books with a normal deposit on a trip up to 180 days after the trip on which he/she canceled, all but US$ 100 of the cancellation fees levied will be applied as a credit toward the final payment on the new trip, except for any non-refund-able payments made to suppliers.
Responsibility
Marian Tours - AVIV TOURS and AIRLINES used in this Tour act only in the capacity of agents for the passengers in all matters pertaining to hotel accommodations, sightseeing tours and transportation, whether by air, railroad, motorcoach, motor car, steamship, boat or any other means and, as such, hold themselves free of responsibility for any damage(s) from any cause(s) whatsoever. AVIV TOURS will not be responsible for any damage, expense or inconvenience caused by late air, rail, ship or boat arrivals or departures, or by any change in schedule or other conditions; nor will they be responsible for the loss of, or damage to, baggage or any article belonging to the passenger. The right is also reserved to decline to accept or retain any person traveling under our auspices. The concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time the passengers are not on board their plane or conveyance, or in the car, limousine or bus of ground transportation operators, or in the premises of hotels, pensions or other places of accommodation. The passenger contract used by the carriers concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the carriers and the purchasers of this tour and/or the passenger. This information and the Tour documents are issued on the sole responsibility of the Tour Operator, AVIV TOURS, they are not issued on behalf and do not commit the Airline(s) mentioned therein or any airline whose services are used in the course of the Tour.
