Monday
Depart the Gateway City on the flight to Italy. All meals and overnight in flight.

Tuesday
Arrive Milan, transfer to your hotel, balance of the day at leisure.    Overnight at the Hotel ALEXANDER (or similar) in Milan.

Wednesday
Morning excursion to Turin to see the famous "Shroud of Turin", return to Milan for afternoon sightseeing of the city.    See the magnificent Duomo and the exquisite St. Ambrose - a beautiful Romanesque Basilica containing the exposed body of the great 4th century doctor of the church.    Visit the Church of Santa Maria della Grazie with the "Last Supper" by Leonardo.    Continue via La Scala opera house to your hotel.    Dinner and overnight in Milan.

Thursday
Drive on the famous "autostrada" to Verona and step back to the time of Romeo and Juliet.    Continue to Padua, home of St. Anthony and the six-domed basilica built over his crypt.    In the afternoon drive to Montechiari, site of the Rosa Mystica Shrine and the series of apparitions of Our Lady that started in 1947.    Dinner and overnight at the Hotel ITALIA (or similar) in Padua.

Friday
Depart Padua to visit Venice, one of the most unique cities in the world, to see the expansive St. Mark Square and Basilica, and the Bridge of Sighs connecting the Doges Palace to the Dungeons.    In the afternoon explore this fascinating city on your own.    Return to Padua for dinner and overnight.

Saturday
Drive to Bologna to visit the Shrine of St. Dominic, founder of the Dominican Order.    Continue to Florence, full of the riches of Renaissance spirit and genius.         See the David by Michelangelo, the marble Duomo, Giotto Bell Tower, the Baptistry with the "Doors of Paradise" by Ghilberti, Santa Croce Church and the famed Ponte Vecchio spanning the Arno River.    Dinner and overnight at the Hotel GRIFONE (or similar) in Florence.

Sunday
Drive through Tuscany to Siena, home of St. Catherine.    After a brief visit, continue to Assisi.    The first stop is the lower town and the Church of Santa Maria della Angeli, site of the Porziuncola, the thornless bush and the cave where St. Francis retired for prayer.    Then drive to the medieval city perched high above a fertile valley, where we visit the Basilica of St. Francis and the Church of St. Clare to see her incorrupt body.    Dinner and overnight in Assisi.

Monday
Depart for Cascia, site of the Eucharistic Miracle of St. Rita.    See the Basilica with her incorrupt body.    Continue on to Rome for a tour of the ancient sites of the city - stop in Piazza Venezia, visit Capitol Square, the Forum, then on to the Church of St. Peter in Chains with the statue of Moses by Michelangelo, visit the Colosseum and then see the Circus Maximus, then to the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls.    Continue to the Hotel CARDINAL (or similar) for overnight.

Tuesday
Morning tour of Monumental Rome - See the Arts Museum, The Bank of Italy.    Visit the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and Piazza Navona, by St. Angelo Castle to visit St. Peter Basilica and the Square.    Afternoon tour of Christian Rome - from Republic Square, visit the Basilica of St. Mary Major, Santa Croce - the Holy Stairs, then to the Basilica of St. John in Lateran.    Continue to see the Old Appian Way with the Chapel of Domine Quo Vadis and the Catacombs.    Overnight in Rome.

Wednesday
Morning Papal Audience.    Afternoon at leisure.    Overnight in Rome.

Thursday
Transfer to Fiumicino Airport for the flight to the USA.   Arrive in the afternoon.       Welcome home !
